Movie Night
We where blessed to watch Facing The Giants with the youth this week. Although only about 15 stayed focused on the entire movie, the Lord still provided us a quite evening. Facing The Giants was a fantastic movie about a football coach struggling with his job, money, reaching his team and having children, living within his own strength. After life becomes more than he can handle he turns to The Lord for purpose and meaning.
We awarded one of our teen youth with the first ARK TEEN SHIRT. This individual is reading scripture to the group. Trying to be an example and the Lord is working through him to help us with his peers.
The Ark Staff has each dedicated themselves to praying and sending an invite to our Christmas eve service to the parents of the youth. Please pray as well that they responde to Gods calling to them.
We thank God for using us in His ministry and pray we continue to seek His counsel.
In Service to Him.

With God...
We will be asking the youth of the Ark to update the Ark blog from now on.
This weeks blog update was written by Jake Ryan.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. This is the scripture Paul (who used to be named Saul) wrote to the Philippians while he was in prison for spreading GODS word. The scripture tells you that you should only praise GOD. This is what we talked about at the Ark this week at The Ark we did a game called battle ship and another game called hardball. We also played a game called letterman. The Lord also sent Mrs Marianne and Mr Jeff Lemarcos this week to help. What a blessing!

Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
Mark 10:27 is the the scripture that is stamped on the hand of all the youth at the Ark. Most of them know this scripture verse. We have discussed it, shared the meaning of Gods power when we trust and serve Him.
As the volunteers that serve God in this ministry do we. "know this"? Well, yes we do but we lose sight and fall short. This week we prayed, seeking Gods wisdom, asked to receive patience and allow His light to shine through us. By far the best week we had with 50+ youth present to witness it. We need to remember when the Lord sends us and we try to achieve His purposes on our own strength it is impossible. But with God, His strength, His light , His patience the children will see the Lord at work and not us. It is the only way. We played silent ball, gave out Ark bucks which the kids can use to buy things on the website.
We had a team challenge and had a obstacle challenge as well. All of the volunteers showed love and patience. What a blessing to see the youth all working, playing, sharing and interacting with one another.
Please continue to pray for The youth of this community and Our sevice to the Lord in it.
God Bless.

SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!
This week The Ark was not going on due to the Community Center being used that day. Although, the past two weeks were great. As usuall we ate hotdogs and fries. We played and found that some new games work better than others. Usuall the physical games that involve a ball or running around seems to be more popular than the mental games. The games we tried the past two weeks discluding this week were, silent ball, in which everyone gets in a circle and a ball is tossed between everyone. If you drop the ball, talk, or toss the ball to hard for anyone to catch - you are out. The last man standing wins. Some others were, Mafia, Human Knot, Team Challange 5, and Minefield. If you go on out website (www.thearkonline.org) you may see these games and thier rules. Just click on the Acitivities tab. Also we had about 50-70 kids each week and our numbers are increasing so SPREAD THE WORD, both about God and The Ark. Another thing check out our churches website who helps fund and support the Ark at www.pinelandschurch.org. Thank You and have a blessed day.

He Is Looking Over Us!!
Today at The Ark was, a little crazy. There were a lot of kids and they were all riled up. We played football and a game where everyone got a basketball and there were 3 places to shoot a basket and the furter it was away from where you shot, the more points you would get. But at around 8:30pm everyone started to leave little by little until no one was left. We ate the usual, hotdogs and fries and there was really not any message because no one would quiet down. But the good thing is we all know God is looking over us and we know be brought at least one person closer to knowing him, and that is what counts- You are my witnesses, said Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; so that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: Isaiah 43:10

GOD IS HELPING US !!!
Mark 10:27- Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossable, but with God; all things are possable. This scripture was our verse today and was on a stamp on everyones hand. They learned that God has a will and purpose for them as do they have free will, but to receive Gods purpose for them they must seek Gods will not thier own. 24 kids also earned a prize for knowing the verse this week. Many kids also worked to make a beutiful poster representing Gods working in The Ark. Also we are trying do get a grant so kids shared what The Ark does for them. The Games we played were football, which was the main activity, while everyone else helped with the poster and played dodgball. It turned out to be an amazing night and I hope we can have another week like this. May God bless everyone and have a good day.

Tuesday, September 13
Lots of kids today. About 50. Today was good but a lot of arguments. Today we played softball, and dodge-ball, as usual. We ate pizza and hot-dogs. I'm also noticing that we are getting a lot more teenagers here which is great but can sometimes cause conflicts like fights, and swearing, and we saw a lot of that today. The message, the message today was about the 9-11 attacks and how they affected. We had a good, organized game of softball today but not as much with the dodge-ball, but is it ever organized.Today overall turned out great and we hope to have more weeks like this one. Thank You for reading and Godbless.

Tuesday, September 6th
Today was plain and simple we played dodgeball today and there was about 17 kids there who were all older like in 8th-10th grade. We ate fried chicken, and hotdogs. The message today was about bullying, we talked about how you should think about how, what you are about to do, may affect someone. But since it was the 1st day of school everything was kinda' slow. Even tough there were not many kids there is was still very fun. Thank You for reading and God Bless you.
Tuesday,August 30th
Today, Lt. Edward Torres was supposed to show up today to do a "Gang Wise" seminar, but due to hurricane Irene he had water damage to his house and could not come. So me and my friends went outside and played basketball and then went to the grass and played football. Inside everyone was baking cookies and making friendship bracelets. About 50 kids came. We ate, as usual, hotdogs and fries. The message today was "what did Jesus come for?" The answer was to die for our sins. It was very fun and we are hoping to see Lt. Ed Torres next week. Thank You for reading and God bless

DONATIONS!!! God works perfectly. We got 2 donations right when we needed them, YEA. This week's message was how there are 40 different authors that wrote the Bible so that is 40 reasons to believe their is a God. If 1 person wrote the Bible you probably would not believe it but if there was is 40 different people, from different places, in different time periods all writing about the same God then you would have a good reason to believe it.
One of the games we played was a game where you had to ride a scooter, jump over a block on the scooter to a stack of cups and stack them into a pyramid. Then the next person had to go to the cups and down stack them etc. until everyone had gone and the 1st team out of 2 teams to finish wins. Then we played a game where to 1st person n each line had to stack the cups then everyone else had to try to knock every cup down using a beach ball about 4 meters away which is actually very hard, and the 1st person to knock them all down wins.
After that everyone left and the day was over and turned out very good. Thanks for reading and god bless.

Tuesday, July 28
This week was very fun. It was very quiet this week as were the other weeks during the summer. Kids are out doing other things which gives us, kind of, a break from all the craziness of having 50-60 kids. Instead we only have about 20-25 kids. We played a water game where 2 teams each had to walk to a pitcher holding a cup on their head with one hand so if they ran, jumped,or tripped the water would get all over them. By the way the 1st person to fill up the pitcher wins and when they ran back from dumping the water into the pitcher the cup had to be filled up on their head. But after the game was done everyone went wild splashing water on one another which was very fun. After that we played stik ball and as the game went on more and more people left until everyone was gone, and that was the day. Thank You for reading and God Bless.

Tuesday, May 10th
Yetserday was a great sucess!! We had around fifty kids show up which is outstanding, but there were other kids not for THE ARK which made things a little crowded. Also an incodent happened where someone accidently hit a bird with a rock. This person was not part of THE ARK. This caused a lot of commotion and made things a little crazy. But other than that we had a good basketball game going and we set up an interesting clallange for everyone there. It turned out really fun for everyone and the message we gave was great. Hopefully we can have a lot of nights like this without the crazyness. But overall it was a good night.

WELCOME!!
Here is a place where you will find the love and support youths need. We are a united group of youths who are tempted by alot of things today like drugs, peer pressure, alcohol, gangs, and bullies. Even if you are not a believer it still does not change the fact that you need help. This is a way to build a community of friends that share, purpose, meaning, love and support for one another
